Pearl Jam auctions off guitar for crash victim's family


An autographed guitar has been auctioned off by Pearl Jam for the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation.

On 24 Oct after a car accident in Seattle Kotowicz passed away, he was cited as "A loved and respected member of the Seattle arts community," in the auction listing at Charitybuzz.com. Kotowicz worked as Vice President of Sales and Director of Marketing at Seattle's Sub Pop records.

The highest bid on the item was $$5,250. All funds will be provided to the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation will go to Kotowicz's surviving family members.

Kotowicz is survived by his wife and 3-year-old daughter. His daughter was pulled from the fiery crash that took her father by a good Samaritan that arrived early on the scene.
